We are recruiting on behalf of Glencar for a Senior Engineer to join their project team in Grimsby. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected main contractor delivering major industrial and commercial projects across the UK. The position offers a salary of £60,000 £ 65,000 per annum plus a full package.

As a Senior Engineer, you will take ownership of engineering delivery on site, ensuring all works are completed safely, accurately, and in line with project specifications.

• Lead engineering activities on site, including setting out and technical oversight.
• Manage and check design information, drawings, and specifications.
• Oversee temporary works, permits, ITPs, and QA compliance.
• Produce accurate records, as-builts, check sheets and technical reports.

• Implement and manage ITPs and quality processes.
• Ensure all works are delivered to Glencar standards and client expectations.

• Work closely with project managers, site managers, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Assist junior engineers and support their development.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and external stakeholders.

• Complete and manage setting out for groundworks, civils, drainage, steelwork, concrete, and externals.
• Check levels, alignments, and tolerances to ensure accuracy.

• Ensure engineering activities comply with all health & safety requirements.
• Promote a safe working environment at all times.

• Experience as a Senior Engineer or strong Engineer ready to step up.
• Background in industrial, commercial, logistics or large-scale construction.
• Strong understanding of groundworks, drainage, steel frames, concrete, and external works.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid CSCS card.
