Support Worker, Mental Health

We are looking for highly motivated, skilled and reliable Support Workers in Grimsby area. Supporting a male client with Cerebral Palsy and Learning Disability, ADHD and complex behaviour. Male only due to nature of the role.

This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 as there is a genuine occupational need to recruit Males due to the nature of the role.

• Caring, patient and empathetic nature
• Experience of communication with people at all levels and excellent communication skills.

• 6 months Experience of supporting clients with a Learning Disabilities and Complex Behaviours
• Full working rights to work in the UK (VP do not offer sponsorship)

• Supporting with daily living tasks including maintaining healthy diet, domestic responsibilities, attending appointments.
• Prompting with personal care tasks.
• Cognitive and behavioural support via the use of effective management strategies.
• Access to meaningful activities in the community and within the home.
• Maintaining daily records.

• £12.60 per hour + holiday pay + pension!

Salary: £12.60 per hour

All successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check, if not already registered on the update service. You will also be required to supply two satisfactory references.
