Job OverviewReporting into the Line Leader you will be responsible for the management of the line in the absence of the Line Leader and also be responsible for the food safety and quality of the product(s) you produce in line with customer specification and exceptional quality standards to assist in the delivery of production plans to achieve all manufacturing and product quality targets.
Key Responsibilities- Document timelines for safety and quality checks to comply with legislation and customer requirements.
- Ensure the production area adheres to food safety and quality standards, reporting non‑conformances as needed.
- Confirm availability of correct ingredients, products, labels, and packaging for production, ensuring product integrity.
- Record data accurately, concisely, and honestly.
- Conduct consistent quality checks on the production line, coaching colleagues to achieve first‑time conformance.
- Maintain consistent, honest, and routinely reviewed Management Information (MI).
- Oversee machinery hygiene checks in line with company protocols and report defects promptly to the Hygiene Department and Line Manager.
- Support the team in meeting audit standards, driving year‑on‑year improvement in outcomes and performance.
- Ensure finished goods comply with food safety, legal, and quality standards, while identifying opportunities to enhance systems, processes, people, structure, and machinery.
- Set up machinery correctly for efficient production line operation.
- 3+ years’ experience in food production, with an eye for detail in a fast‑paced environment.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene.
- Good level of numeracy and literacy skills.
