    Your Role as a Practice Lead – Water Resources (Stormwater):

    Choose your own adventure! Let’s talk about how your skills, experience, goals, and passions can find a home at JLR! Your role will include:

  • Taking responsibility for the water resources practice – stormwater and wastewater modelling – including training, coaching, and developing skills within the water resources group; developing, managing, and expanding the client base and business opportunities in this field; and consulting on project and proposal needs across the organization.
  • Working closely with our Innovation Department to identify and implement technological improvements and new modelling platforms.
  • Engaging through all project stages, from definition, through planning, design, and construction, recognizing opportunities, and understanding client needs to manage and deliver projects.
  • Using state-of-the-art stormwater management modelling software (PCSWMM, XPSWMM, HEC-RAS, HY8, etc.) to advance innovative, integrated solutions to complex servicing problems from the master planning stage to detailed design and construction.
  • Designing hydraulic structures including detailed drawings for the construction of ponds, spillways, ditches, weirs, basins, and culverts.
  • Working closely with other leaders, especially the Directors of Civil and Environmental Engineering, to optimize staff assignments for efficient project delivery.
