Senior Group Manager of Supplier Quality

Job Summary

The Sr. Manager of Supplier Quality is responsible for leading the supplier quality function across LNA facilities, ensuring that all sourced materials and components meet quality standards. This role is pivotal in driving supplier performance, supporting new program launches, and ensuring compliance with Linamar’s global quality systems and customer expectations.

Responsibility

• Lead the development and execution of supplier quality strategies aligned with Linamar’s operational and customer goals.
• Evaluate, select and quality new suppliers in collaboration with procurement and engineering teams.
• Manage a team of Supplier Quality Engineers.
• Act as the primary liaison between Linamar and its supplier base for all supplier quality related matters.
• Oversee APQP, PPAP and FMEA processes for new and existing suppliers.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments and lead the corrective action process to ensure timely response to quality issues.
• Monitor supplier KPI’s and leverage performance data to drive continuous improvement, mitigate risk, and inform sourcing decisions.
• Drive supplier development programs by identifying capability gaps, implementing improvement plans and partnering with suppliers to elevate quality, delivery and compliance performance.
• Support sourcing decisions with risk assessments and quality input.
• Work closely with Purchasing, Engineering and local Plant Operations teams to support program launches and resolve supplier issues.

Academic/Educational Requirements

• Post secondary education in engineering or related technical field.

Required Skills/Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality leadership role in the automotive sector.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPPAP and quality core tools.
• Experience with risk analysis and problem failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) for automotive products.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross‑functional projects.
• Experience in drawing interpretations and geometric dimensional tolerancing, gauging methods, calibration, and gauge R and R’s.
• Proficient with MS Office and CAD applications.
• Ability to travel internationally as required.
