Responsibilities

Responsibilities
: include planning, preparing, and maintaining production schedules, establishing sequence and lead time to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. This role requires working within the company’s goals and objectives of quality, cost, and delivery, ensuring the availability of raw materials, coordinating shipments, and maintaining inventory levels.

Production Planning

Production Planning:

  • Effective management of shop floor production schedules.
  • Capacity planning.
  • Advise availability dates in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Ensure raw materials are available to support production schedules.
  • Coordinate shipments with the Logistics Department.
  • Provide plant floor documentation and communication as required.
  • Ensure conformance with the production planning requirements of ISO 9001 and Polycorp's QMS.
Inventory Planning
  • Manage and maintain accurate data in the Syspro ERP system.
  • Maintain and report metrics via spreadsheet ERP Syspro etc.
  • Take appropriate action when system schedules are in jeopardy of not meeting timelines.
  • Cycle counts as required: daily, monthly, annual.
  • Continuously develop lean activities.
  • Control and maintain acceptable inventory levels for raw materials and manufactured products, utilizing the most efficient order methods.
  • Ensure conformance with the inventory planning requirements of ISO 9001 and Polycorp's QMS.
  • Perform all other duties as required.
Skills Required
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook, Syspro ERP (or comparable).
  • Ability to prioritize activities as required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Education & Experience Required
  • College/University education in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in production scheduling and planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with MRP in an ERP environment.
