Salary/Wage Range or Industry Benchmark: 80000 - 100000 GBP Yearly GBP 80000.00 100000.00 YEAR

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major Highways scheme based in Guildford. This is a freelance opportunity with an initial contract duration of 6 months, with potential for extension depending on project progression.
This assignment is paying outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all commercial aspects of the project

Prepare, submit, and negotiate variations and interim valuations

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all commercial activity

Liaise with project stakeholders including subcontractors, clients, and consultants

Monitor project budgets and provide detailed cost reports

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and risk management protocols

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on Highways and/or Public Realm projects

Strong background working with Tier One contractors

Excellent knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts

Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

Able to work independently and proactively within a project team
