Job Title: Contract Product Support Engineer

Type: 12-Month Contract

Status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella PAYE)

Rate: 300-350 per day (depending on experience)

Location: Surrey – Onsite initially with flexibility for hybrid working thereafter

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Product Support Engineer in Surrey to join a multi-disciplinary engineering team working on new product development across Healthcare and Industrial IoT solutions.

This position focuses on testing validation and technical support for innovative connected products being rolled out across global markets.

As a Contract Product Support Engineer in Surrey, you’ll play a key part in supporting both current and next-generation product development, taking designs from feasibility through to testing and global product launch.

• Providing technical support for digital solutions and IoT platforms used across multiple countries
• Supporting the design, test, and validation of new digital and connected products
• Assisting with global product launches and technical documentation
• Designing and executing test plans in the in‑house development lab
• Tracking and resolving technical issues in line with formal change control procedures
• Collaborating closely with Project Managers and Technical Leads across international teams to deliver best‑in‑class technical outcomes

• Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Systems or similar
• 25+ years of experience within a product development or technical R&D environment
• Hands‑on understanding of wireless technology, IoT systems, and digital platforms
• Practical experience with fault‑finding, debugging, and test execution
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics
• Strong analytical mindset and structured documentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident collaborating across different cultures and disciplines

• Self‑starter who takes initiative and ownership
• Logical problem‑solver
• Team player with strong communication and organisational skills
• Willing to travel occasionally for project development support
