The Role:

* Prepare detailed mechanical cost estimates and tender submissions for HVAC, building services, and M&E projects.

* Review drawings, specifications, and schedules to produce accurate take-offs.

* Price labour, plant, materials, subcontract packages, and preliminaries.

* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.

* Identify value engineering opportunities and highlight commercial risks.

* Support bid submissions, clarifications, and post-tender negotiations.

* Work closely with project managers, contracts managers, and directors during handover from pre-construction to delivery.

* Assist with cost plans, budgets, and tender reports as required.

* Carry out site visits and surveys to support estimating activities.

The Company:

* 55+ years’ experience delivering Mechanical & Electrical projects in London and surrounding areas.

* Offices based in Guildford.

* Current turnover around £20M per annum, with ambitious growth plans over the next couple of years.

* This hire is due to company growth and increasing project pipeline.

The Ideal Candidate :

* Will have 5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Estimator, ideally within HVAC, M&E, or building services projects.

* Previous experience estimating commercial projects.

* Strong attention to detail and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

* Commercially savvy with excellent communication skills.
