Assistant Tax Manager

Our client is an international group searching for an Assistant Tax Manager to join a close-knit tax team located in Guildford.

The company has operations in the UK, Sri Lanka, India, North America, and Continental Europe. It continues to grow organically and is also highly acquisitive. As the Assistant Tax Manager, you will report to the Group Tax Manager and work closely with the Head of Tax.

The role involves a core element of:

• Tax accounting including interim and full year group reporting and UK statutory accounts.
• UK and US tax compliance processes including R&D claims; managing interaction between businesses and compliance advisors (the preparation of tax returns is outsourced but requires project management and review).
• Ad hoc planning/project work.
• Supporting the Group’s operating businesses with their tax affairs.
• Assisting the Head of Tax with M&A activity, including due diligence, structuring, SPAs & post-acquisition integration
• Tax risk and governance.
• Transfer pricing.

Ideally, you are a CTA or ACA qualified UK corporate tax professional with a good understanding of tax accounting.

This role is offering £65,000-£70,000 depending on experience, 10% discretionary bonus, and a host of benefits. The team follow a 4-day hybrid working pattern.
