Senior Scrum Master – Allianz Personal
Allianz Personal has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Scrum Master to join our family of talented people in the Transformation Change Team.
Role DescriptionAs Senior Scrum Master you will act as a servant‑leader and Agile Release Train (ART) coach who facilitates ART events and processes and supports teams in delivering value. You will be responsible for communicating with stakeholders, escalating impediments, managing risks, and driving relentless improvement.
You will further be responsible for ensuring cohesion and transparency across a group of scrum teams. As a senior member of our agile ecosystem you will support the progression of Scrum Masters within the community and advocate the agile way of working within the wider organisation.
Salary InformationPay:
Circa £70,000 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
- Coordinate multiple delivery teams, engage others in the ART/Scaled model Cadence for Programme Increment and Iterations, and provide a clear and synchronised method for teams to track progress and optimise the flow of value.
- Establish all necessary events to ensure readiness for cadence & support the flow of information, allowing team objectives and outcomes to be consolidated and shared at program level.
- Demonstrate effective transformational leadership, motivate, embrace, and coach members of the entire release train, build team cohesion, foster an open and honest culture, and drive relentless improvement.
- Provide mechanisms for teams to identify and share impediments and actively address these blocking issues so the team can focus on achieving iteration goals.
- Work with other RTEs and Scrum Masters to facilitate the removal of external dependencies across different product areas or release trains.
- Ensure effective identification and management of risks & issues & engage with the Enterprise Transformation Management Office (ETMO) to support value realisation and improve lean governance.
- Communicate and share achievements and key challenges across the organisation to ensure continual improvement.
- Knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and Scrum.
- Proficiency in Jira & associated tools.
- Proficiency in financial management including agile/phased budgets.
- Strong leadership and excellent people management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills; ability to challenge when appropriate.
- Strong knowledge and application of SAFe.
- Intricate understanding and experience of implementing Scrum.
- Change management experience.
- Experience with in various industries, preferably including Financial Services.
- Experience in Agile product and change delivery on a scaled basis.
- Experience operating within lean budgets.
- Experience managing resources with internal and/or external (3rd Party) providers.
- Effective skill management, including identifying opportunities for cross‑skilling.
- Ability to design release train team structure and evolve through inspect & adapt techniques.
- Leadership experience, having led multiple geographically dispersed Scrum teams.
- Ability to influence at all levels – motivational leadership and negotiation around organisational constraints.
