Site Nurse Practitioner

Overview

An exciting permanent, full‑time Site Nurse Practitioner role at Royal Surrey County Hospital. The post requires a highly clinical nurse with management experience to work rotational shifts and support patient flow, senior clinical support and site management.

• Facilitate the timely and appropriate clinical placement of patients and ensure efficient bed utilisation for emergency and elective admissions.
• Provide senior nursing support through advanced clinical interventions and decision‑making across clinical areas.
• Ensure timely assessment, referral and transfer from A&E, MAU and SAU to optimise patient care.
• Trouble‑shoot the patient pathway and assist clinical areas to improve patient experience.
• Lead site management outside normal hours, liaising with on‑call teams and maintain normal operations 24/7.

• Registered Nurse

• Post registration qualification or equivalent experience in an acute setting.
• Teaching qualification (e.g., mentor prep, ENB 998, C&G 730).
• Experience of working at a senior level/manager/supervisor in a specialist area.

• Extensive knowledge of specialist areas through postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience.
• Five years post‑registration experience and effective management of complex clinical situations.
• CPD evidence of post‑qualifying and continuing professional development.

This post requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check as per the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.

Applicants must have current UK professional registration.

Band 7 – £50,008 to £56,908 per annum (pro rata) inc HCAS. Permanent, full‑time.
