Backend Software Engineer - EA Ventures

We are seeking a Software Engineer (Backend) to help design and implement backend systems powering next-generation social and gaming experiences. This is a hands‑on role for an engineer who is passionate about backend development, enjoys problem‑solving, and wants to grow within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. You will work closely with senior engineers to build reliable, scalable, and performant services that reach millions of players worldwide.

• Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs that support live and social features.
• Implement features from design through to deployment, working under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code, following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Support Dev Ops/SRE efforts by maintaining CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems.
• Continuously learn and improve, developing technical depth in backend systems and cloud services.

• Delivery of reliable, well‑tested backend features aligned with project goals.
• Contribution to team productivity and code quality standards.
• Effective collaboration with peers and cross‑functional partners.
• Demonstrated growth in technical skills and ownership over time.

• 2-4+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET, with working knowledge of cloud‑based environments (AWS or equivalent).
• Experience building API‑driven services that integrate with frontends or mobile clients.
• Good familiarity with databases (SQL, Postgre
  
  SQL, and/or Mongo
  
  DB).
• Understanding of CI/CD workflows, testing, and debugging tools.
• Awareness of scalability, reliability, and security considerations in distributed systems.
• Curiosity and motivation to learn modern backend and Dev Ops practices.
