Homes for Students is the UK's largest independent provider of student accommodation and is currently seeking a General Manager for Ash Grove Court in Guildford.

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for creating a home away from home for students? Do you have a knack for team motivation, a solid grasp of health and safety regulations, and a talent for managing budgets? If so, we have an exciting opportunity just for you! You’ll be responsible for leading, inspiring, and taking charge of a thriving student community.

Your weekly hours will be 40 per week, working 9:00 am–5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

As General Manager, you’ll drive an exceptional student living experience, working closely with your team to ensure top‑notch customer service in sales, maintenance, and housekeeping. Your leadership will embed our core values and enable your team to excel. In September, you’ll take the reins of the check‑in, check‑out, and room‑turnaround process, using your communication skills to support new students and efficiently handle any operational issues.

You’ll have the unwavering support of the Homes for Students family and an outstanding area and regional team. This role requires a diverse skill set, and we’ll nurture your growth within the organisation.

• Leadership experience in a similar role or environment
• Strong data presentation and analysis skills
• Impeccable organisational abilities
• Team player with the power to lead, inspire, and motivate
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office software
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations (desirable but not essential)
