Summary:
Responsible for finding applicable laws, rules and regulation and ensure adherence of the same along with in-house policies. This role involves monitoring and reporting on compliance activities, conducting compliance audits and providing training to staff on compliance matters. Person will work closely with various departments to ensure all compliance requirements are met and maintained.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support the Legal Department in day-to-day operations including contract vetting, legal documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Review routine legal agreements and assist in basic negotiations; ensure version control and proper archival of legal templates and contracts. Working knowledge of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools is desirable.
Maintain organized records of legal documents and contracts, ensuring secure storage and easy retrieval; manage the legal database and calendar for renewals, deadlines, and hearings.
Conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations, and case precedents; prepare summaries, briefing notes, and legal updates for internal teams and senior management.
Assist in drafting internal policies, legal notices, and SOPs; support due diligence activities related to vendors, partners, and third-party contracts.
Monitor statutory compliance across departments using compliance tools; track regulatory changes and update monitoring systems accordingly.
Conduct internal compliance audits, prepare reports highlighting non-compliance and risks, and follow up on corrective actions.
Prepare and share periodic MIS reports on legal and compliance activities; support reporting to senior leadership.
Coordinate and conduct training sessions on legal and compliance topics; help develop and roll out legal awareness initiatives across the organization.
Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities as needed; ensure legal inputs are incorporated in business decisions.
Prior experience in handling compliance monitoring tools and statutory conformity platforms is preferred.
Qualifications, certifications and experience:
Law graduate with 3–5 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, preferable with the manufacturing industry.
In-depth knowledge of Industrial, environment and employment laws.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
