Designation: BI Developer (Power BI + Sigma Computing)
Experience:
3-6 years
Role & Responsibilities
Working experience in insurance reporting, including analyzing and visualizing data.
Connect various data sources, import and transform data for Business Intelligence purposes.
Build BI solutions while leveraging data analysis techniques and industry best practices.
Develop, publish, and schedule Power BI reports in alignment with business requirements.
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Sigma Computing.
Train and support users on Sigma best practices, tools, and data literacy.
Design visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI Desktop
Enable self-service analytics for business users via Sigma's spreadsheet interface and templates.
Apply transformations, filters, prompts, calculated fields, sets, groups, parameters, graphs, and forecasts effectively in Tableau.
Utilize geo codes for map layouts and maintain expertise in action filters, LODs (Level of Detail expressions), and Tableau functions.
Gather, refine, and translate complex business requirements into reporting solutions.
Exhibit advanced statistical and analytical capabilities to derive meaningful insights.
Communicate findings effectively through compelling data visualizations and storytelling.
Qualifications
Strong experience in Power BI & Sigma Computing development.
Proficiency in SQL programming, including advanced SQL writing skills.
Solid understanding of relational and dimensional data models.
Knowledge of data visualization best practices and user experience design is a plus.
Experience with data modeling concepts and modern data stacks.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Familiarity with data governance, security, and role-based access controls.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools (for comparative insight).

Good-to-Have Skills
Familiarity with Tableau and Cognos for advanced BI and reporting capabilities.
Experience with Tableau, including effective spreadsheet modeling and advanced functionalities (date, string, numeric calculations, etc.).
Proficiency in Dev Ops tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Git) with experience in CI/CD pipelines.
