Qualified Social Worker - Children with Disabilities Team

Location: Hackney Central

We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker in the Children with Disabilities Team within Hackney. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Social Worker includes:

Ability to complete Child and Family Assessments under the Children Act 1989
Experience undertaking Children in Need (CIN) assessments and planning
Knowledge of Child Protection enquiries and Section 47 investigations
Experience completing Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments and contributing to EHCPs
Ability to assess eligibility and needs for Short Breaks services
Experience supporting transition assessments from children’s to adult services
Understanding of safeguarding children procedures and risk assessment
Competence in multi-agency assessments with health, education, and other partners
Clear, accurate case recording and assessment write-ups.
The ideal candidate will have:

Social Work England registration
Eligibility to work in the UK
Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
