The Opportunity

The Registration/Scheduling Clerk is responsible for the timely patient registration and processing, as well as for the scheduling of physician clinic time, both on a requested basis and discretionary basis. responsibilities include, but are not limited to: accurately entering patient information into Meditech; completing various health forms and consents as required; assisting with quality audits and/or corrections; liaising with various departments within the health centre, other health centres, appointments;

receiving and relaying messages via phone and fax; scanning and archiving; copying and mailing information to clients and physicians; maintaining supplies; obtaining charts from Health Records; training new staff as required; other related duties.

Hours of Work

7 hour shifts;
Weekdays with availability for evenings as required

Your Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.

• Completion of a recognized business/secretarial program an asset

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.

• Demonstrated accurate keyboarding and data entry skills required. Testing may be conducted on short-listed candidates and results will be factored into the candidate's overall suitability for this position.

• Demonstrated organizational, analytical, time management, interpersonal and communication skills required.

• Knowledge of medical terminology required.

• Competencies in other languages an asset;
French preferred.
