Lead day-to-day Human Resources Services for the City of Vernon, using employee relations expertise and practical advice. This position supports leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
The Human Resources Services Manager provides leadership and oversight while supporting workforce attraction, development and retention. The role advises leaders on labour relations, performance management, workplace matters and policy. It also advances compliant programs, responsive service and organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead daily Human Resources Services delivery across the organization
- Coach leaders on employee and labour relations matters
- Manage investigations, grievances and collective agreement administration
- Develop compliant policies, procedures and Human Resources programs
- Lead and develop a collaborative, service-focused team
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline
- Chartered Professional Human Resources designation
- Five years progressively responsible Human Resources Services experience
- Three years management or supervisory experience leading staff
- Knowledge of employment legislation and Human Resources best practices
