Description:

Join one of Canada’s most respected technology consulting organizations and help shape the future of digital transformation across Nova Scotia.
At CGI, we don’t just deliver projects, we build lasting client partnerships. As the country’s largest IT and business consulting services firm (and a global leader with + offices worldwide), CGI offers the entrepreneurial freedom of a start-up backed by the stability and scale of a global powerhouse. We call our employees partners for a reason: 90% are shareholders who take real ownership of our success.

Here, you’ll find the autonomy to drive your business, the resources to make an impact, and a culture that celebrates accountability, growth, and collaboration.

Your Role:
Lead Growth. Build Relationships. Deliver Impact

As Director of Consulting Services (DCS), you’ll lead the growth of CGI’s presence across Atlantic Metro and Nova Scotia, building trusted relationships with senior public and private sector leaders.

You’ll help clients modernize, transform, and grow through technology, from cloud and AI to enterprise modernization and digital experience, while leading a high-performing consulting team that shares your passion for delivering measurable outcomes. If you’re energized by business development, strategic leadership, and making a difference for clients and communities, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose. This is an onsite position based in Halifax, NS.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Client Leadership & Strategic Advisory

• Serve as a trusted advisor and senior point of contact for key client accounts.

• Understand each client’s mission, challenges, and industry to design solutions that create business value.

• Partner with C-suite and executive leaders to translate strategy into action through technology and consulting engagements.

Business Development & Growth

• Own the growth strategy for the region — identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities.

• Shape and lead proposals, client presentations, and contract negotiations.

• Collaborate across CGI practices to bring forward innovative solutions and expand our footprint in key markets.

Engagement Oversight & Delivery Excellence

• Oversee delivery of large, complex consulting and technology programs.

• Partner with project leaders and delivery teams to ensure engagements are on time, within scope, and achieving measurable impact.

• Proactively manage client expectations and address delivery issues to ensure long-term satisfaction.

• Ensure engagements meet contractual, regulatory, and security standards.

• Guide clients through governance, operating model, and risk-mitigation strategies that build long-term resilience.

Team Leadership & Enablement

• Lead and inspire a team of multi-disciplinary consultants.

• Mentor future leaders, support career growth, and foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and performance.

• Build team cohesion through shared success, coaching, and client impact stories.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 10+ years in IT consulting, including 5+ in a leadership capacity.

• A proven track record of building client trust, growing accounts, and delivering impactful solutions.

• A strong network within Nova Scotia’s public and private sectors.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Entrepreneurial, energetic, and motivated by achieving results.

• Proficiency with CRM tools and experience managing full sales lifecycles.

• Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience in management consulting, project delivery, or technology strategy (AI, data, digital) considered an asset.

• Willingness to travel within Atlantic Canada (approx. 10%)
