THE JOBAre you detail-oriented and enjoy hands-on work in a clean, precision-focused environment? We’re looking for a Full-Time Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team in Halifax, NS. In this role, you’ll assemble highly precise optical and mechanical components used in advanced sighting systems. You’ll work with glass and machined metal parts, applying lubricants, adhesives, and solvents carefully and accurately. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the creation of world-class products while maintaining a commitment to quality, precision, and safety.

Full-time, hourly position ($18-20/hour)

Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Clean, well-organized workspace with optical bench and cleanroom environment

No heavy lifting — light components only

All required PPE provided (except closed-toe shoes)

REQUIREMENTS To be considered for this position, candidates must have a verified clear criminal record check completed prior to hiring and may be required to complete a reliability status questionnaire. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong manual dexterity, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and follow detailed manufacturing instructions and engineering drawings.

You should be comfortable working with solvents, lubricants, and adhesives, and possess the flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team. A commitment to maintaining workplace safety, adhering to cleanroom protocols, and following all company procedures is essential. Closed-toed shoes are required for safety, while all other personal protective equipment—including hair and beard nets—will be provided.
