  • About the role
    Join the Direct Lending Funding and Renewals team in the Bilingual Senior Officer, Operations position. In this role, you will oversee the administration and decisions relevant to lending activities for the purpose of mitigating risks will help support and provide the good client service and achieving corporate objectives.

    This is a temporary position with a duration of 18 months.

    What you’ll do:

  • Administration of fire insurance claims.
  • Administration of accounts in default and/or in collection.
  • Maintain quality relationships with clients to understand their needs and objectives and explore opportunities and work in a team environment and contribute to service standards and turnaround times.
  • Offer advice, support and alternative solutions to clients and stakeholders including the communication of key decisions, the interpretation of policies and the response to inquiries.
  • Negotiate a reasonable solution in line with the risk appetite.
  • Provide effective and efficient delivery of services to contribute to service standards.
  • Participate in internal processes involving performance monitoring and quality assurance by reviewing and preparing detailed reporting on outcomes.
  • Exercise prudence and diligence to ensure compliance with all relevant internal policies and procedures applicable to the function.
  • What you should have:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in loan activities and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of procedures, policies and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving, strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of market trends and developments in Canada and of industry partners.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong understanding of serviced client groups in Canada, including related mortgage legal documentation in both common law and civil law.
  • Bilingualism (French and English).
  • It would be great if you also had:

  • A successful completion of a professional association designation would be considered an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of mortgage financing and real estate laws, default remedy and/or property administration.
  • Experience working with clients in Indigenous communities.
