Deputy Branch Manager – Halifax & Huddersfield

Join Handelsbanken in this role of Deputy Branch Manager for the Halifax & Huddersfield branches.

We are looking for Deputy Branch Managers to support the Branch Manager in all aspects of Branch operations, including business plan, development, credit, operational risk, administration, financial control, culture, recruitment, compliance and regulatory matters.

• People management, leadership, development, engagement and wellbeing of a team of Corporate and Private Banking account managers and Account Manager Support.
• Maintain and develop a portfolio of customers; build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Identify, meet and win prospective new customers/introducers.
• Collaborate with the Branch Manager on branch operations: business plan (The Wheel), business development, credit, operational risk, administration, financial control, culture (Our Way), recruitment, compliance and regulations.
• Ensure adherence to the Bank’s credit policy and responsible lending procedures.
• Operate within secure and unsecured lending discretion as awarded.
• Grow and develop branch profitability in a local market with effective business leadership.
• Apply Handelsbanken business model, products and steering systems.

Mid‑Senior level, full‑time position, in sales & business development within banking. Experience in branch management and credit operations is required.
