Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to oversee the delivery of domestic retrofit projects, including insulation, renewable technologies and heating systems.
This is a hands‑on role that combines project management with site‑based activity. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing retrofit projects from pre‑start through to completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved. They will manage installation teams and subcontractors, working closely with the wider support function to ensure successful project delivery.
The role reports to the Operations Director and will be assisted by the Business Support team for administrative and coordination tasks.
Demonstrable experience delivering Energy Efficiency retrofit projects in Social Housing and Area Based Schemes compliant with PAS 2030 / 2035 and MCS is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of Health and Safety and is compliant with CDM.
- Lead and manage domestic retrofit projects across insulation, renewables, and heating measures.
- Carry out daily site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with PAS 2035/2030 & MCS requirements.
- Manage installation teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, householders, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to budget.
- Oversee project documentation, risk assessments, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure installation evidence and documentation fully meet client requirements and contractual obligations.
- Liaise with the Business Support team to ensure scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions are managed effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement in project processes and outcomes.
- Proven experience in project management within domestic retrofit, construction, or related fields.
- Strong technical knowledge of retrofit measures, including internal fabric, renewables, and heating.
- Excellent project planning, organisation, and delivery skills.
- Ability to conduct site inspections, manage installations, and ensure quality control.
- Good understanding of PAS 2035/2030 and retrofit standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance office‑based responsibilities with regular site visits.
- NEBOSH (General or Construction) or IOSH Managing Safely.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
- Scaffold Management.
