Overview
EQUANS is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to work on behalf of our Calderdale Royal Hospital contract in Halifax. This permanent full‑time role works 40 hours per week and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

- Provide fabric or construction bias support to the estates team and work with senior site bases.
- Supervise a multi‑discipline Estates maintenance team and service partners delivering day‑to‑day operations.
- Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring tasks are completed to required standards and timelines.
- Oversee routine inspection, servicing and repair of plant to minimise downtime ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations, hospital policies and PFI contract requirements.
- Ensure maintenance works are conducted according to the terms of the PFI contract, including response times and performance standards.
- Provide accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections and repairs for audit and compliance purposes.
- Liaise with hospital management and clinical teams to prioritise maintenance work and minimise disruption to hospital services.
- Oversee use of materials, tools and equipment, ensuring cost‑effectiveness while maintaining quality service.
Maintain the integrity and operation of the hospital’s fabric and building structures to ensure a safe, functional and compliant environment for clinical and non‑clinical services. Provide technical support and guidance to direct reports, ensuring routine fabric maintenance, minor works and statutory compliance tasks are completed to a high standard.
Qualifications- Fabric or construction background trained to a minimum NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline.
- Authorised Person position previously held or willing to take on roles.
- Previously held a supervisory or team leader role.
- A background in healthcare or PFI would be advantageous.
