Our new Hamilton office is seeking an Electrical Project Manager
. You’re all about prioritization. While everyone else is focused on their individual tasks, you’ve got an eye on the larger goals, and have a detailed road map for how to meet those goals. You have clear communication skills, and can effectively wield those skills to make sure clients, consultants, and contractors are kept in the loop. • Prepare, or assist Principal-in-charge with the development of all system engineering concepts (e.g. design brief) and concept report.
• Prepare all calculations and select all equipment. May assign tasks to designer and BIM Technician where appropriate
• Perform/arrange reviews of existing installation and manage the impact on the project.
• Ensure shop drawing review process takes place within project timelines.
• Respond to both technical and financial queries related to the project.
• Review all deliverables for the project including reports, calculations, drawings, or/and specifications. Review for completeness and accuracy at various stages of development and as defined by S+A total quality management
• Coordinate all documents with the internal/ external project team (architect, interior designer, and other disciplines).
• Communicate all requirements to project teams, owner, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Fully understands Codes and Standards relevant for the project.
• Ensure tasks are completed both accurately and with the assigned hours/fee.
• Ensure the internal project team’s coordination processes with other disciplines are complete.
• Liaise with external consultants, vendors as required to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Promote and enforce company standards for project administration, documentation and processes.
• Act as contract administrator for designated projects, ensuring timely completion of all activities for project, where needed by Principal in charge
• Prepare all change notices or reviews change notices issued by contract administration team.
• Coordinate with the contract administration team regarding drawing reviews, proper set up of contract administration process and site activities
• Review and manage the design in terms of construction budgets.
