Te Haeata / The Opportunity

The CRO works with a team responsible for the successful operation of the court. You will liaise with multiple stakeholders in the justice system, communicating confidently with judges, chambers staff and other members of the judiciary.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Service – interacting with customers on any court related matter via face‑to‑face, phone or email, and maintaining confidence across all communication methods.
  • Court Taking – facilitating the running of the court: introducing judges (in English and Te Reo Māori), working closely with them in the courtroom and chambers, and managing jurors and general court administration.
  • Case Management – ensuring that the judiciary and case parties have all necessary information, and that logistics are in place so cases are heard in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Travel within Waikato Courts may be required; a full, clean New Zealand driving licence is mandatory.
Ō Pūkenga / Skills And Experience

Deliver a service to our customers with high accuracy and professionalism. This role suits a variety of backgrounds, whether you have an interest in the justice system, a passion for customer service or are seeking a new challenge.

  • Detail‑oriented and observant – accuracy in court processes and case information.
  • Self‑aware – confident working individually and as part of a team across a range of situations.
  • Multi‑task – manage conflicting priorities and switch between tasks quickly.
  • Willing to learn – adapt to changing legislation and court processes.
