Occupational Therapist - Drivers Assessment

Join SE Health as a Casual/Occasional Occupational Therapist focused on driver assessment and training in Hamilton.

We provide person‑centered care to support clients with medical conditions or injuries in achieving or maintaining safe driving capabilities.

• Conduct driving assessments (in‑clinic and on‑road)
• Provide vehicle access assessments for drivers and passengers to enable them to enter/exit a vehicle and stow mobility devices
• Formulate goals, recommendations, and provide client resources
• Plan and supervise client‑centered, goal‑directed driver rehab programs through driver rehab instructors
• Accept auto insurance referrals and complete OCF

• Prepare detailed assessment reports, OCF
  18s, and vehicle prescription reports

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program and a member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Recent experience in acute, rehab, or community‑based rehabilitation settings preferred
• Reliable, flexible, creative, self‑directed professional able to collaborate with rehab assistants and interdisciplinary teams
• Sound knowledge of community resources an asset
• Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Positive work and attendance record essential
• Ability to adapt to new computer applications
