Scheme Project Manager Rail / Civil Engineering

Our client, a well-respected Civil Engineering Contractor based in Glasgow, is seeking a Scheme Project Manager to join their growing team. You will be instrumental in the delivery of the Access for All programme, managing civil and structural renewal works across Scotland s rail network.

You will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of projects, including:

• Leading all Health & Safety activities on site

• Providing clear leadership and direction to site teams

• Coordinating works to meet programme deadlines and client requirements

• Managing project delivery in line with approved plans, budgets, and targets

• Implementing and overseeing procurement schedules, productivity trackers, and outputs

• Identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks

• Driving value engineering opportunities through design and development

• Preparing and presenting formal project progress reports

• Managing subcontractors and associated performance

• Undertaking additional engineering duties as required

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, Senior Engineer, Sub Agent, or Site Manager

• Background in civil engineering, ideally within rail, structural, or heavy civil projects

• Qualified to HNC/HND level or above

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, designers, and stakeholders
