IT Support Engineer

IT Support Engineer – Park's Motor Group

Location: Hamilton (Head Office)

Hours: Rotating shifts triweekly – Monday to Friday 07:00‑16:00, 08:00‑17:00, 09:00‑18:00 plus occasional Saturdays on rota and out‑of‑hours work during major upgrades or project‑based work.

• Provide 1st‑to‑3rd line support to end‑users on‑site, remotely and by telephone.
• Offer hardware and software support, troubleshoot desktop, server and network issues.
• Create and maintain documentation of common fixes and installation procedures.
• Carry out occasional small‑scale project work, working independently when required.

• Experience providing IT support in a busy environment to end‑users in MS Windows, MS Office and general desktop software/hardware.
• Windows System Administration experience – Windows Server 2022, Windows 10/11.
• Networking hardware administration – Cisco/Meraki, HP/Aruba.
• VoIP telephony systems – Mitel.
• Hardware maintenance and servicing – Dell (servers/desktops), HP/Lexmark (printers).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team‑work ability and flexibility in approach.
• Current UK Driver’s Licence.

• Knowledge of current Cyber Security recommendations and practices.
• Microsoft qualification(s) in Windows Desktop or Server administration.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux.
• Knowledge of PHP/MySQL.
• Knowledge of SD‑WAN.
• Knowledge of VMWare ESXi/vCenter.
