Our Energy subsector, a key component of WSP’s ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients from coast to coast. From small installations to multi-phase integrated mega projects, we support your upstream, midstream, or downstream oil and gas activities and energy transition markets at all stages of the project lifecycle, anywhere in the world. We are focused on providing design, engineering and environmental services that contribute to climate adaptation and mitigation, sustain the use and protection of water and marine resources, protect and restore biodiversity, and support our clients as they transition to low carbon solutions.

To meet our growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking a Market Leader, Energy (Canada East) to join our teams located in any of our WSP Offices in Ontario or Quebec. The Market Leader, Energy (East) is responsible for overseeing and leading the technical Energy practice in Eastern Canada. This includes leading projects and being responsible for certain accounts and engagements, as well as the overall compliance with national and local regulations, and maintaining high standards of service reliability and customer satisfaction.

WSP is a leader in the delivery of clean energy and Power sector solutions to meet the increasing demand for safe, secure, and sustainable energy for Canadians, which requires a substantial expansion of Renewable Energy, LNG, Hydrogen and O&G networks. In this leadership role, you will help bring WSP’s vast expertise, experience, and innovation to support our clients, utilities, and communities in the transformation to a new energy future.

• You will be the Technical Market Leader for Energy, reporting to Vice-President-Energy
• You will be responsible for leading and growing the Energy practice in Eastern Canada
• You will act as a thought leader, applying advanced in-depth and broad knowledge and be externally recognized as a top “go-to” resource in their field
• You will make decisions on highly complex issues regarding work approach for project components and completion of team tasks and responsibilities
• You will anticipate business needs, secure required resources, and lead initiatives to implement change in the organization
• You will make recommendations and be involved with important decision-making on highly technical and complex aspects of WSP projects
• You will be accountable to lead certain client accounts and engagements within the Energy Group
