Event Security Guard

We are looking for Event Security Guards / Supervisors, who can provide a highly visible, advanced level security service involving an array of duties and posts within a critical infrastructure. Servicing the site in a professional, competent, and courteous manner. We are looking for an Individual who will work with integrity, respect, and take responsibility for security which will ensure the safety of everyone on site.
Job Duties- Surveillance: Event Security guards are often responsible for monitoring and observing premises to prevent theft, vandalism, or other illegal activities. This may involve patrolling the area on foot or using surveillance cameras.
- Access Control: Controlling access to a property or facility by checking credentials, verifying identification, and ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
- Emergency Response: Being prepared to respond to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches. This may involve contacting emergency services and guiding people to safety.
- Customer Service: Providing assistance and information to visitors, employees, or customers. This can include giving directions, answering questions, and offering general assistance.
- Conflict Resolution: Resolving disputes or conflicts in a calm and professional manner. Security guards may need to enforce rules and regulations and intervene in situations where there is potential for violence or disruption.
- Patrol and Inspections: Conducting regular patrols to identify and address security risks. Inspecting doors, windows, and other access points to ensure they are secure.
- Report Writing: Documenting incidents, activities, and any notable observations in written reports. These reports may be used for legal or investigative purposes.
- Alarm Monitoring: Responding to alarms and alerts, investigating the cause, and taking appropriate action. This may involve coordination with law enforcement or other emergency services.
- First Aid: Administering basic first aid in the event of injuries or medical emergencies until professional medical help arrives.
- Preventive Measures: Implementing measures to prevent security breaches, such as checking and securing windows and doors, and ensuring that security systems are functioning properly.
- Crowd Control: Managing large crowds and ensuring order and safety during events or crowded situations.
- Security Equipment Operation: Operating and monitoring security equipment such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, alarms.
- Collaboration with Law Enforcement

Cooperating with local law enforcement agencies when necessary and providing them with information and assistance.
- Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education
- Minimum of 1 year of security related experience.
- Must Possess a valid Security license
- Excellent written & verbal communication and active listening skills
- Able to work nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays
- Able to work outdoors any weather conditions with excessive walking and long periods of standing
