Essex County Council (ECC) is supporting Harlow Council to recruit a temporary Project Manager on a 12-month basis. Successful individuals will be based on site a minimum of 3 days per week.

Harlow has over 9,000 units of social housing and is launching its largest capital investment programme ever. We are delivering large scale refurbishment programmes to occupied council homes and seek experienced Project Managers to help deliver this work.

Projects delivered are mostly building envelope works to low rise blocks, which have already been tendered and packaged and are due on site early in the new year. Contract under JCT. Contractors are specifically tendered and are not partnering contractors. Separate commercial team provides commercial support.

• Experienced construction project manager – not limited to new build production; must have experience in the public sector.
• Experience delivering works to occupied residential units for local authorities or housing associations.
• Well-developed people skills, able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
• Experience with JCT contract form.
• Good technical knowledge of construction management.
