Opportunity

You’ll work closely with the management team looking after day‑to‑day bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting. Working with the Finance Manager you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of accounting tasks – from invoice processing and reconciliations to month‑end support, valuable for individuals eager to advance their careers in finance. This is a great role for someone who’s detail‑oriented, organised, and thrives in a creative, people‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and bank statements using XERO.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and budgets.
  • Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Support the Finance Manager with various financial tasks and reporting.
  • Respond to finance‑related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data reporting.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant role.
  • Confident using Xero / Quick Books / Sage accounting software (or equivalent).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance in the UK.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • AAT qualification or working towards it is desirable but not necessary.
