Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance
Our Client is a leading supplier of premium rice and rice-based products, including the renowned Daawat brand.
They are looking for an experienced Line Technician to work in a fast‑paced FMCG environment. This position requires strong technical expertise combined with key competencies such as attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. You will work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating effective communication, adaptability under pressure, and a commitment to delivering consistent results in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Health& Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with LT Foods UK's health & safety, food safety, and quality assurance standards.
- Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly to the Production Manager or Shift Supervisor.
- Support the implementation of safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Participate in health and safety briefings and training sessions as required.

- Minimum 2 years within FMCG or high‑speed manufacturing.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
41.25 hours per week, on a two‑weekly rotating shift cycle as follows:
Shift Week 1
06:00–14:15 & 14:00–22:15
Week 2
14:00–22:15 & 06:00–14:15
Weekend coverage may be required depending on business needs and will be distributed fairly across teams.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor production line equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs on machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues promptly.
- Conduct line changeovers and setups according to production schedules.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Record and report equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements.
- Support root cause analysis for recurring technical issues.
