Industrial Sewing Machinist – Harlow, Essex

Noble Recruiting are supporting a professional and friendly client based in Harlow
, who is looking to recruit an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a Monday to Friday position, offering a stable working environment within a well-established manufacturing business.

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per annum
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Contract:
Permanent, full-time

The Role

As an Industrial Sewing Machinist, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machinery to produce high-quality products in line with production schedules and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating Brother industrial sewing machines to complete batch orders
  • Setting up, running, and maintaining sewing machines
  • Measuring, cutting, framing, and loading materials and thread
  • Binding edges of materials and using hand‑held hole‑punch tools for specific orders
  • Working with a variety of fabric and metal products, including heavier materials
  • Interpreting templates and design files accurately
  • Carrying out thread changes, tension adjustments, and routine machine maintenance
  • Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Supporting the production team to meet daily targets and deadlines
  • Assisting with general production tasks when required
Skills & Experience
  • Previous sewing machinist experience preferred (minimum of 2 years ideal, although training can be provided for candidates with relevant experience)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport essential due to location
  • Free on‑site parking available
