Location: Bilton Hall Nursing Home, Bilton Hall, Bilton Hall Drive

This is an exciting time to join We Care Group as we implement a new Learning & Development strategy that sees the introduction of Regional Trainers being integral to our success. You will be working across the Yorkshire region with the L&D Manager to develop our approach and course materials for critical areas of training such as safer people handling, basic life support and first aid, induction and fire safety.

You will bring your expertise in these areas to set standards, train new and existing team members and support home managers to develop a learning culture that will become the fabric of how we work together.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver face‑to‑face mandatory training to new and existing team members, including but not limited to Safer People Handling;
    Basic Life Support & Emergency First Aid.
  • Deliver virtual webinars in subjects such as person centred care & safeguarding.
  • Deliver Safer People Handling Train the Trainer courses and provide ongoing support and expertise to your network of in home trainers.
  • Provide Safer People Handling expertise and assurance for the homes in your area, by carrying out observations of practice, monitoring training standards and putting in place any corrective action as required.
  • Deliver bespoke training, where required for the needs of each home and its residents.
  • Support the design and delivery of learning and development programmes within our new career development framework.
  • Work closely with home managers to drive standards in training and induction and support homes to achieve high levels of compliance.
  • Provide an exemplar service to our homes and team members, setting high standards and acting as a role model as to how we should treat our fellow team members and care for our residents.
Essential Qualifications And Experience Required
  • Considerable experience of working in health & social care
  • Considerable experience of working in a similar role
  • Experience of designing and developing training content
  • A good understanding of the mandatory and statutory training requirements in health and social care and the CQC framework
  • Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training (or equivalent)
  • Level 4 Certified in Safer People Handling
  • First Aid at Work certified
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Driving licence and access to a car / willingness to travel within the region (with occasional travel further afield)

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Considerable experience of working in a similar role
  • Considerable experience of working in health & social care
