We are looking for aRegistered Nursing Associate to work independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working to the NMC code of conduct and Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates to support with assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care for students.
Main duties of the jobTo work as part of the clinical and wider multidisciplinary team teaching, supporting and mentoring other staff to ensure the clinical care delivered to students is of the highest quality.
To work directly with students at Henshaw's delivering clinical care independently in line with care plans, within the parameters of practice of the nursing associate role, accessing advice when needed.
To liaise and communicate with staff, managers, and service users at all levels ensuring colleagues and staff are kept informed in a timely and appropriate manner of any changes to student needs , care plans or risk assessments
Deliver theoretical clinical training to care staff 1-1 and in small groups.
Salary: £14.32 per hour/£29040.96 per annum
Weeks per Year: 52
Holiday weeks: 5 weeks plus 10 days bank holiday

Job Summary:

Main Duties:
To be fully conversant with and work within the Nursing and Midwifery Code and Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates.

Deliver high quality compassionate care, carrying out specific clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard under the direction of the registered nurse whilst promoting health and independence.
Work as part of a designated clinical team supporting the care staff and students. work alongside, mentor and support them to ensure that the care and student support delivered is of the highest quality.
Work without direct supervision, at times delivering clinical care independently in line with care plans, within the parameters of practice of the nursing associate role, accessing advice when needed.
Understand all elements of the nursing process and be able to assist the registered nurse in the on-going assessment, planning, management, and evaluation of care.
Monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basis in partnership with the members of the MDT, families, and carers
To oversee the care delivered by Nursing Assistants, Trainee Nursing Associates and Nursing Students to the students allocated to them and ensure staff are competent to perform any delegated tasks.
Raise and report any deterioration in health of the students to the registered nursing team or community health care teams.
Recognise and report any situations, behaviours or errors that could result in poor care outcomes
Identify risks to safety or experience and take appropriate action, putting the best interests, needs and preferences of people first.
Perform and record clinical observations including blood pressure, temperature, respirations, and pulse
Undertake clinical tasks such as Gastrostomy button changes, catheter care, injections, and blood glucose monitoring
Demonstrate the ability to recognise changing priorities seeking advice and guidance from the registered nurse when needed
Deliver theoretical clinical training to care staff.
