Cleaner​/general assistant

Overview

Can you work 12‑4, Monday‑Friday in school term‑time only? Overtime is available every Friday from 8 am. We are a friendly, welcoming team at Ashville College in Harrogate. You will work with our busy porters’ team, washing up and putting clean crockery & cutlery away at lunchtime, then help sweep, mop and clean the kitchen in the afternoon. The role is easily accessible by car or public transport.

Salary is £12.21 per hour plus holiday pay. You will work 34 weeks per year, paid equally over 12 months.

• Help to wash up or clear trays, using a commercial dishwasher
• Put away clean crockery and cutlery
• Sweep, mop and clean the kitchen, including trolleys, fridges, walls and bins
• Complete training and adhere to all company health‑&‑safety and food‑safety standards

• Must have the right to reside and work in the UK.
• Must be able to successfully pass an enhanced DBS check.
• Ideally live within easy access of Ashville College.
• Experience in a similar role is desirable.
