Prepare a variety of corporation tax computations, tax returns, and deferred tax calculations for financial statements. Review work prepared by junior team members. Review draft financial statements and identify relevant tax matters. Manage correspondence with HMRC, including drafting letters and reviewing junior-prepared documents. Maintain strong relationships across the tax department and other teams. Support compliance work, including initiating payment advice letters.
Liaise with audit teams to gather necessary information and resolve queries. Develop technical knowledge of tax legislation, HMRC guidance, and other resources. Delegate tasks to junior staff and provide guidance and support where appropriate. Monitor department trackers and systems to ensure work is up to date. Assist with technical queries at a senior level when required. You will require the following skills and attributes to succeed as Tax Senior:
Minimum 2 years’ full-time experience in Corporate Tax. CTA qualified, or ACA/ACCA qualified and pursuing CTA is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Able to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work accurately under pressure.
