An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to join the Adults Neighbourhood Team in the vibrant coastal town of Hastings. This full-time locum position offers a chance to deliver high-quality support and life-enhancing outcomes for vulnerable adults while working within a supportive, forward-thinking team.

• Undertake assessments in line with Adult Social Care’s eligibility criteria for individuals aged 18 and above, focusing on promoting independence and well-being.
• Apply key legislation in practice, including the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983, Equality legislation, and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
• Fulfil statutory duties such as Section 42 safeguarding enquiries and Section 9 Care Act 2014 assessments using a strengths-based and outcome-focused approach.
• Manage a diverse and complex caseload, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and professional integrity.
• Travel across East Sussex, including rural areas, to engage with service users and deliver person-centred care effectively.

• Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
• Proven experience in adult social care, safeguarding, and Care Act assessments.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations sensitively.
• A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
