Place Lead

Active Sussex has a small but inspiring team that needs a new recruit to take on the challenges and rewards of helping the Trust work towards reducing inequalities through access to physical activity opportunities.

Contribute to learning across Active Sussex and support the wider Place Universal Offer (PUO). In doing so, the Place Lead (Hastings) will play a pivotal role in shaping long‑term, sustainable change through physical activity in Hastings.

The Place Lead (Hastings) will:

• Oversee delivery of the Hastings Place Expansion Development Award, a Sport England‑funded programme designed to create sustainable, community‑led system change in Hastings.
• Lead on strategic partnership working, governance, programme management, and evaluation, ensuring the pre‑conditions are met for securing the subsequent Full Award investment.
• Act as the key relationship holder between Active Sussex, Sport England, and Hastings partners, ensuring delivery is collaborative, evidence‑driven and aligned to local needs.
