Mobile Gardener Caretaker 1st Class

Location: MOBILE – Covering the Sussex area, but the ideal candidate will need to live in/near Hastings

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £26,722 per annum

Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week, Mon – Fri

You’ll handle a variety of horticultural tasks, including mowing, hedge cutting, weeding, pruning, and pesticide application. Planning and organising daily tasks to meet the specific needs of each site will be key, along with managing stock for plants, tools, and safety equipment. In addition to maintenance, you’ll oversee the safe operation and care of machinery and vehicles, carry out routine administrative duties, and help visitors find graves or memorials.

You’ll also ensure health and safety standards are followed, helping to create safe, calm, and respectful environments.

• RHS level 2 in Horticulture (or equivalent) OR practical experience within horticulture, such as plant identification, sustainable garden practices, and garden maintenance.
• Experience with garden machinery
• Full UK driver’s license (Manual)
• IT literate
