Relief Security Officer

Job Overview

Relief Security Officer – Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services. Join our professional security guard team nationwide for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) project. Travel flexibly across DWP sites in Hastings, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Brighton, Newhaven & Lewes. Full UK driving licence required.

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for DWP staff, visitors and property.
• Patrol premises regularly to identify potential security threats.
• Respond effectively to emergencies or suspicious situations.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Provide high level of customer service and assist staff and visitors in security related matters.
• Conduct routine security checks and submit incident reports as appropriate.
• Adhere to Mitie and DWP security policies, procedures and regulations.

• Look out for, and immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards on site.
• Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment to take appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
• Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
• Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
• Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries promptly after any incident for the Incident Report process.
• Demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client by keeping to schedules.
• Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.

• Previous Security Experience
• Licence required DS Licence>
• Full UK driving licence required.
