Loadout Team Member; Season

Do you have a background in transport, manufacturing, or logistics, and enjoy working in an environment where things are constantly moving? This is a seasonal, full-time role from February to August 2026 working in our small but mighty Loadout team!

As a Loadout Team Member, you’ll be based at our Hastings Coolstore and play a critical role in ensuring our apples are loaded accurately and efficiently for export. You’ll work closely with truck drivers and forklift operators and step in to do physical work when required to keep things moving. Accuracy and attention to detail are key – you’ll make sure the right pallets go into the right containers, so our apples reach customers around the world in perfect condition.

This role involves long hours as we have a short window to get the job done. The upside? More hours mean more earning potential. If you’re adaptable, reliable, and thrive when the pressure is on, you’ll fit right in.

• Split your time between computer work and hands‑on tasks in the Coolstore (you’ll need to be comfortable working in a cold environment).
• Manage container loadouts and trucking orders using multiple systems – quick thinking and data accuracy are essential.
• Check and label pallets, inspect empty containers on arrival, and ensure everything is loaded correctly according to strict processes.
• Communicate with truck drivers and forklift operators to coordinate smooth operations.
• Occasionally lift boxes and assist with practical tasks as needed.

You’ll be part of a small, close‑knit team that delivers thousands of cartons of apples to export markets each season.

• Previous experience in transport, manufacturing, logistics, or dispatch.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Enjoy following clear processes and learning new systems.
• Practical, hands‑on approach and comfortable on your feet.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand and ability to pass pre‑employment checks.
