Apprentice Dental Nurse

Established in 2003, Damira Dental Studios has grown from one small practice in Oxford to become a leading provider of high‑quality dental care across the UK, offering a comprehensive range of treatments through the NHS and privately.

• With experience, you may progress to roles such as team manager, team leader or dental practice manager.
• With further training, you could become a dental therapist, assisting a dentist with routine dentistry work.
• You could also become a dental hygienist, helping patients look after their teeth and gums.
• You might train as an orthodontic therapist, helping dentists improve the look and position of a patient's teeth.

• Reception, including answering the phone and greeting patients.
• Dealing with patient queries.
• Taking payments.
• Booking appointments and follow‑ups.
• Sterilising and preparing equipment for dentists.
• Recording and managing patient records.
• Supporting patients' well‑being and dental experience.
• Cleaning dental areas, including chairs.
• Managing stock of equipment and supplies.
• Performing any other duties to support the dentists and senior team in providing effective patient care.

• This qualification is a Level 3 advanced apprenticeship accredited by City & Guilds and is delivered nationwide through blended interactive e‑learning.
• Upon completion, you will be awarded a Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3, approved by the General Dental Council as meeting the entry requirements for the professional register.
• Functional skills in English and maths level 2 qualifications are required unless already exempt.
