Pembrokeshire County Council is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to manage and strategically oversee our Integrated Transport Unit. This critical role encompasses public, community, and school transport, as well as fleet management, ensuring services are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the Councils corporate priorities, including the Net Zero Action Plan and Fleet Transition initiatives.

• Lead a team of approximately 100 staff, managing operational, strategic, and financial performance across transport services.
• Develop and implement policies and service plans, ensuring compliance with transport and fleet legislation.
• Drive continuous improvement and provide expert advice to senior leaders, Members, and external stakeholders.
• Manage complex change initiatives, oversee budgets, and contribute to regional and national transport strategies.

• Highly experienced professional with substantial leadership experience in transport and logistics management.
• Strong track record in delivering innovative solutions, managing diverse teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and health & safety standards.
• Degree in Transport, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field is essential; professional qualifications such as CMILT or ATCO membership desirable.
