The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential frontline reactive maintenance services to our site, swiftly identifying and addressing root causes to restore equipment to full operational status. You will also proactively seek and implement cost‑effective improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of site assets and equipment. Shift pattern – Nights 4 on 4 off 17:30‑05:30.

Your

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of production equipment
• Ensure all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and in line with regulatory requirements
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve line efficiency
• Uphold best practices in health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Contribute to lean maintenance practices, including TPM and CI tools

The Ideal Candidate At Least 2 Years Experience

• Experience in engineering based operational efficiency programmes.
• Experience in a similar role supporting Site Strategy for Quality, HS, EMS, or Engineering.
• Experience supporting improvement activities/events within facilities and engineering owned areas.
• Experience delivering on the job training to new colleagues in Health and safety, NVQ Level 3 qualification – Mechanical and/or Electrical, Bias “Train the trainer” training.
• Ability to have own ideas and deliver these to improve the business; has played an active role in continuous improvement.
• Desirable training:
  Piranna Systems Training, Operational measures, OEM Training / Site specific equipment training, Generic HMI / SCADA / Fieldbus / Drives & Instrumentation.
• Relevant Health & Safety Modules, Escalation procedures, SSOW Document Awareness.
• Engineering Quality Induction.
• Ability to work to deadlines, effective project management skills, and provide “on the job coaching” and gain support from shift leaders.
