Manufacturing / Production Engineer - Full Time (Permanent)

Location: Jedburgh, Scottish Borders

Salary: £36,000 per annum

Hours: Full time

Start date: Immediate

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing manufacturing business for an experienced Production / Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to be the second engineer on site and take ownership of modern production lines in a developing facility.

• Ensuring two production lines run efficiently, safely, and to quality standards
• Operating, monitoring, troubleshooting and improving production machinery
• Setting and adjusting machine parameters to meet product specifications
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• Supporting new product development and scale-up
• Training and supporting production operators
• Liaising with machinery suppliers on upgrades and fault resolution
• Driving continuous improvement and high health & safety standards

• A hands‑on engineer with a problem‑solving mindset
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Manufacturing experience in a fast‑paced environment
• Commitment to health, safety and continuous improvement

• Engineering background (mechanical preferred, electrical considered)
• Manufacturing experience
• Health & Safety training

• Experience with non‑woven textiles machinery
• Textile machinery experience (carding, cross‑lap, needle punch)
• Experience working with natural fibres
• Agricultural or raw material processing knowledge

• £36,000 per annum
• 35 days holiday per year
