Mixed Veterinary Surgeon (SA 60%, LA 30%, EQ 10%)

Salary: £40, per annum (depending on experience) plus relocation.

Evening surgery ends at 6pm, 1 in 5 weekends with Monday off, 1 night/week on call.

Hawick Veterinary Practice is a long established and successful mixed practice located in the beautiful and unspoiled Scottish Borders. We pride ourselves on our enthusiasm and forward thinking, and we ensure we are always looking for new ways to modernise. The practice is RCVS PSS Core standard (and aiming for GP) and we have recently attained an ISFM Gold award. We are proud holders of the Bronze iiE Sustainability award.

We are a purpose‑built, RCVS accredited practice that provides excellent care for small animals, farm animals and equines in the rural town of Hawick, Roxburghshire, and became a member of Linnaeus in 2018. Hawick is approximately one hour from Edinburgh, Carlisle and Newcastle, and is one of the biggest towns in the little‑known Scottish Borders. Recent significant investment has allowed us to improve our facilities and expand our services to provide a high‑quality progressive working environment for our loyal team.

We are proud of our well‑equipped surgery with multiparameter monitoring for anaesthesia, 'Bair' hugger, ultrasound, xray, dental xray etc.
